Confirm the origin province when you are modelling freight, because the assumption that all Canadian pulses ship from Vancouver is a common and costly one.

For buyers, the specification points to nail down are size uniformity, moisture, defect tolerance and crop year. Older crop hydrates differently and canners notice. For exporters, being straightforward about crop year is a trust issue that outlasts a single contract.
