Canola

Canola is four products, not one, and the distinction is the single most useful thing to establish before quoting. Seed goes to crushers. Crude oil goes to refiners. Refined oil goes to food manufacturers and packers. Meal goes to feed and aquaculture compounders. They do not share a tariff line, they frequently do not share a registration route, and a duty position confirmed for one tells you nothing reliable about another.

Which form you should buy follows from your own capability rather than from price. A buyer without crushing capacity is not really in the seed market; a buyer without refining capacity is not really in the crude market, because toll refining rarely survives the arithmetic at import volumes.

Canada is among the largest canola origins in the world with established crushing capacity, so all four forms are genuinely available rather than notionally so.
