Canadian sugar is largely refined from imported raw cane, with some domestic beet production, and it serves industrial and retail buyers on standard grades. As an export into Southeast Asia it competes against much closer origins, so the trade tends to be specification-led or tied to a broader supply relationship rather than volume-led.

Specify grain size, colour, moisture and, for industrial buyers, the flow and caking behaviour, which determines handling in bulk systems.

Icing and specialty grades are separate products with their own particle-size and anti-caking specifications, and those additives are worth confirming against destination requirements before shipping rather than after.

Humidity is the handling issue that catches buyers importing into tropical markets. Refined sugar cakes and hardens in humid storage, and a product that flows correctly at load can arrive unusable in bulk handling. Specify the packaging barrier against your actual warehouse conditions rather than the supplier's default.
