Beef Tenderloin: export from Canada to ASEAN
Tenderloin is the highest-value cut on the carcass per kilogram and the one where trim specification most affects what you actually receive. Side muscle on or off, silverskin removed or not, and the weight band together define the product, and a grade alone leaves all three open.
Because the cut is small relative to its value, freight economics favour chilled airfreight more than for other primals, and premium hotel and restaurant buyers in Asia are frequently buying chilled at a specified ageing.
Canadian grading assesses marbling, maturity and muscling, and for tenderloin the top grades carry a substantial premium into that channel.
Establishment eligibility for the destination gates everything, is decided by the destination authority, and should be confirmed before commercial discussion rather than after a buyer has been promised a date.
Chilled and frozen beef sometimes classify under different sub-headings, which matters when a buyer is weighing airfreight chilled against sea frozen. Confirm both positions alongside establishment eligibility, since eligibility is the binding constraint rather than duty.

MFN duty is the destination's applied general rate for this tariff line. Preferential is the rate under an agreement in force between Canada and that market. Both are customs duty only: destination excise, value-added tax and local levies are additional and are not shown here.
