Flaxseed Oil: export from Canada to ASEAN
Flaxseed oil is bought for its omega-3 content and is the least stable edible oil in common trade. It oxidises rapidly with heat, light and oxygen, which shapes everything about how it should be specified, packed and shipped.
Cold-pressed and unrefined is the usual food specification, since refining removes much of what the product is bought for. That means no processing step protects it, and the cold chain, the packaging barrier and the turnover rate do all the work.
Specify peroxide value and free fatty acid at load and the expected shelf life under destination storage. Dark glass or opaque packaging and, in most tropical destinations, refrigerated handling are practical requirements rather than refinements.
Buyers should be realistic about volume: a container that sits in a warm warehouse for months will not deliver the product the label describes.
Flaxseed oil classifies apart from the seed, and cold-pressed unrefined oil may attract different treatment from refined in some destinations. Confirm the position for the exact specification you are shipping.

MFN duty is the destination's applied general rate for this tariff line. Preferential is the rate under an agreement in force between Canada and that market. Both are customs duty only: destination excise, value-added tax and local levies are additional and are not shown here.
