Cranberry Juice Concentrate: export from Canada to ASEAN

Cranberry concentrate serves both the juice trade and the functional beverage segment, and the second is where the premium sits. The functional positioning rests on proanthocyanidin content, which is not captured by brix or acidity and has to be specified separately if it is what you are buying.

The standard specification points are brix, acidity, colour and whether the product is single-strength equivalent or a defined concentration.

Cranberry is intensely acidic and almost never consumed unsweetened, so the finished formulation and its category treatment (juice, nectar or juice drink) need to be settled early. Those are defined categories in most destination frameworks with minimum juice content thresholds attached, and the category determines both label claims and border treatment.

Confirm which functional claims the destination permits before building the positioning around them.

As with apple, brix thresholds commonly separate concentrate from single-strength juice in the schedule. Send the exact brix and the destination so the classification we confirm is the one that will apply.

Both are customs duty only: destination excise, value-added tax and local levies are additional and are not shown here.
